Fine Arts Minors/MIAD Program
Fulfill Your Desire to Create
Take advantage of Marquette’s unique cross-registration program with the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), Wisconsin’s only college dedicated exclusively to the education of artists and designers. Choose a Fine Arts minor in studio art or art history. Or simply take MU/MIAD courses as electives.
It’s recommended you declare your fine arts minor at the start of sophomore year. Tuition is included in your Marquette full-time student rate, though some courses have nominal materials fees.
Grow as an artist. Explore the visual arts with MIAD classes in drawing, painting, figure sculpture, photography and print making.
Add depth to your vision. Study art history and understand its effects on visual communication today.
Get inspired. Learn from MIAD instructors who are working artists, designers, writers and researchers.
