Ms. Kilmurry has acted in professional regional theatre companies in Seattle, Dallas, Kansas City, Milwaukee, and in two seasons at the Oregon Shakespearean Festival. A member of Actors Equity Association, she also lived in New York City for several years and has performed both Off & Off-Off Broadway.
Along with other SMU graduates living in New York she helped found and later ran an actors cooperative whose goals were the continuing education of the professional actor through workshops, independent projects and showcase productions of new plays.
Since returning to her native Milwaukee, Ms. Kilmurry has turned her focus to directing and teaching. Local directing credits include projects for Windfall Theatre, The Boulevard Ensemble, Amethyst Productions, Renaissance TheatreWorks, the John Michael Kohler Art Center, the Haggerty Museum, Manitowoc Civic Theatre and Playwrights Studio Theatre, where she was also Literary Director for two seasons.
Ms. Kilmurry is also the acting coach for the students participating in the ACTF Irene Ryan competition.
