Lisa Ling, journalist, former co-host of ABC's The View, host of National Geographic Explorer, reporter on Channel One News, special correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show and CNN. 

As a journalist, Lisa Ling has explored a comprehensive range of issues, including gang violence in the United States, the Colombian drug wars, female suicide bombers and the Iraq war. 

Ling is also well known as a former co-host of daytime talk show The View, on which she shared opinions on current events. She has been involved with television journalism and broadcasting for nearly twenty years.

In addition to her world-wide news coverage, Ling is currently writing a book entitled "Mother, Daughter, Sister, Bride: Rituals of Womanhood."
