Student reports on Chicago mothers banding together for CNN

Wyatt Massey, '16, is spending his summer working as Features Intern for CNN. He wrote a story about "Mothers Against Senseless Killings," a group of mothers who patrol Englewood, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago. Massey is studying writing-intensive English and advertising. Read more of Massey's work.

"I Am Chris Farley" recalls life of the late Marquette alumnus

The film remembers Marquette alumnus Chris Farley, who starred in "Saturday Night Live" and acted in movies such as "Tommy Boy" and "Wayne's World." Marquette honors the comedian, who graduated with a concentration in communications and theater in 1986, with the Christopher Crosby Farley Scholarship.

Students present Cultura, their magazine journalism capstone

Journalism students in Dr. Nettleton's magazine capstone produced Cultura, a bilingual magazine about arts at Marquette and in Milwaukee. Cultura was produced entirely by the students. Students were required to take on roles writing, editing, fact checking and designing. Cultura was partnered with Spanish students in Dr. Julia Paulk's classes, who helped with the translation of some stories.
