Digital Media

Shape the Way We View the World

TV, radio and online. Digital Media graduates are able to critically interpret the evolving use of electronic media and mass communication. They propose media solutions that serve their communities, research, write, produce, direct and market electronic messages for every medium. Students learn to apply mass communication theory while developing skills specific to audio, video and the Web. A strong liberal arts emphasis gives you the broad background you need to thrive in this era of convergence and competition.

Study in a major media market. Direct your studies in a career in production, writing, programming, management, audience research, sales, promotion, or alternative media. Milwaukee is a top-35 market—small enough to get your foot in the door, big enough to prepare you for any media market in the country.

Get involved. Our campus radio and TV stations are entirely student-run. Host your own radio show, be a newscaster, produce television shows—or use communication technology in your own original way.

You have the technology. From your first year, you have access to Marquette’s recently revamped broadcast facility, with two TV studios, nine video editing suites, three audio studios, computer graphics platforms and advanced interactive digital equipment.
